Centro Neutropico Hotel

Centro Neotropico Sarapiqui Ecologde architecture is inspired by the indigenous pre-Columbian construction techniques of the region, used by natives far more than 1000 years. The round palenques (or ranchos) are covered with a traditional thatched roof of palm leaves.

This palenque structure is central to the SarapiquíS concept: the story of nature and its relationship to mankind. The circular design symbolizes the circle of life - an intricate link between the cycles of the biodiversity within the rainforest.

The CNS Ecolodge consists of four palenque structures; three guest units of eight rooms each, and one central building with lobby, restaurant, bar, coffee gourmet bar, photo gallery, administration, gift shop and conference centre.

Rooms:

Like an inverted flower, the three guest units are divided into eight spacious deluxe rooms (24 in total) jointed within the turret reaching an impressive height of 18 metres. All of the units are located amidst the lush gardens and orchards of the property. Many of the rooms have an outstanding view of the rainforest canopy, while others are nestled in the bright nd fragrant gardens.

Twelve Standard rooms in the Ulima building complete the Ecolodge capacity of 36 rooms.

With a harmonious decor of earth tones, natural limestone, and antique or artisan-made furniture, guests will enjoy comfortable beds, private bathroom, ceiling fans and cross-ventilation system, phone and internet connection. Outside every room , a covered terrace invites each guest to enjoy the natural surrounding.

Restaurant:

From a buffet decorated with exotic flowers and fruits, guests may select a delicious meal based on local and vegetarian cuisine. Every day the Chef creates delicious meals with fresh ingredients such as pineapples, bananas, oranges and palmito.

As a unique touch, the restaurant introduces spices as they were once used by the indigenous peoples in pre-Columbian time. Our Chef will be glad to explain their usage and significance.

Bar:

As evening descends and the forest alters to nighttime mode, Alfaro' s Bar is the place to gather for camaraderie and reflection on the day's experiences. Antique artifacts and 19th century photographs recall a time when Anastasio Alfaro and his companion-explorers might have come to such a place to discuss the events of the day over their favourite drink.

CNS is equipped to handle a full international conference or seminar for up to 100 persons. The CNS complex is located in the luxuriant Sarapiquí rainforest, accessible along paved roads only at 85 kilometres - a 1,5 hour drive - from the Santamaria International Airport.

CNS promotes an innovative concept of organizing conferences, seminars and congresses.

Executives meet in surroundings of the lush rainforest of Sarapiqui. They combine their meetings with team-building challenges such as rafting, rainforest hiking, and mountain-biking, among others. In leisure time they learn more about rainforest ecology and pre-Columbian history in the CNS Archaeological Park, Botanical Garden, Museum and Rainforest Reserve.

The SarapiquíS Rainforest Auditorium, situated in the Sarapiquí's Museum complex, is an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 70 and a large screen of 5 (15 ft) x 4 (12 ft) metres.
