Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge protects a large estuary, mangrove forest and tropical dry forest in an area covering almost 400 hectares. The boat trip into the estuary offers an opportunity to observe rare and abundant wildlife – including monkeys and dozens of bird species - while learning about the unique ecosystem of the mangrove forest.
