Hiking in Corcovado

Corcovado National Park:
The Park has been described as the Amazon of Costa Rica, with one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world. It is a wild region, with an abundance of rare wildlife, and the last area of primary forest on a Pacific coastline in Central America. It is a very hot, humid climate that enables the forest to grow to heights of 70 meters and contain a fourth of the tree species of Costa Rica. Corcovado is the best place to see the famous wildlife of the country, as it is relatively untouched and brimming with birds and animals. Some of the rare varieties present include all four species of monkey,
the endangered American Crocodile, tapir and many species of large cats. A local naturalist guide will lead our adventure, with their knowledge of local habitats, nesting sites, and behavior of the wildlife greatly increasing your chances of seeing that rare jaguar, or beautiful Toucan and Scarlet Macaw. Hiking through Corcovado is a challenging but rewarding experience that will be forever remembered because of its isolated pristine environment brimming with rare wildlife.
