Day 1: SAN JOSÉ
Airport ‘Meet & Greet’ and transfer to hotel. Overnight in San Jose at Aurola Holiday Inn Hotel.
Day 2: TORTUGUERO
Morning pick up for your drive through Braulio Carillo National Park to the canals lining the Atlantic Coast where you board a boat for the trip to the Tortuguero Canals through 50 km of tropical rain forest. Late afternoon arrival at Tortuguero. And lodging in Mawamba Lodge(BLD)
Day 3: TORTUGUERO
Enjoy touring Tortuguero National Park with a local boatman and Sun Tours guide to observe the flora and fauna. There are 2 three-hour boating trips through the canals included in this package. Expect to see beautiful shorebirds, monkeys and sloth. On your own you may wish to hire a boat for additional exploration, or just hike along the beach or visit the village of Tortuguero accompanied by your own guide. Lodging in Mawamba Lodge. (BLD)
Day 4: ARENAL VOLCANO
After breakfast connection - transfer to Arenal area. And at the end of the afternoon get some relax in Baldi Hot Springs with a excellent dinner included. And lodging in Montaña de Fuego.
Day 5: MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST
Morning hike in the Arenal National Park and a close-up exploration of a lava flow. Mid-morning departure, driving around Lake Arenal to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, one of the richest and most diverse tropical cloud forests in the New World. It is best known as home to the Resplendent Quetzal but also protects hundreds of other birds, mammals and plant species. Overnight in Monteverde and lodging in El Sapo Dorado Hotel or similar. (BD)
Day 6: MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST RESERVE
In the morning, visit the skywalk a complex of suspension bridges and platforms constructed within cloud forest. In the afternoon hike thru the reserve viewing the misty forest with its dense vegetations and magestic trees. Overnight in Monteverde at El Sapo Dorado Hotel. (B/D)
Day 7: SAN JOSE
Departure from Monteverde to San José, and lodging in Aurola Holiday Inn Hotel. (B)
Day 8:
Airport transfer to the International Airport. (B)
