Bougainvillea Hotel Art:
Our art collection is displayed in every room of the hotel. In the lobby an antique Dutch grandfather clock --still chiming-- hints of European heritage, but all else is contemporary, either made by a Costa Rican artist or a local resident and all paintings are original and depict typical scenes or local flowers.
Restaurant and Coktail Bar:
Our maitre d' hotel seats guests in a tastefully decorated dining room, either at a front window table or at a table with views of softly-lighted paintings of Costa Rican scenes--on tile, and in oils and watercolors.
Before you read the menu for the larger meals of the day, we would like you to know how carefully we consider the health of our guests and the nutritional value and balance of the meals we prepare. The quality of water is monitored regularly by a laboratory; it is pure because it is drawn from a well some 150 meters (nearly 500 feet) deep in a forested watershed area.
Rooms:
Bougainvillea Hotel rooms are large with two double beds, a sitting area and the full range of facilities. Each has a balcony offering marvelous views of the mountains one one side and the San José skyline on the other. Most of our rooms have free wi-fi internet access.
